Each release's checksums are published here, on a different site from the download server. If the two ever disagree, do not install, and tell us.

SHA256SUMS (released 30 September 2026)

To check a download on macOS or Linux: sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing. On Windows PowerShell: Get-FileHash <file> -Algorithm SHA256, then compare it with the line for that file.
